DIY Mini AMPLFY Bluetooth, SolarPowered, Iphone Charging Speakers!
AMPLFY - The Coolest DIY Speaker Ever!
Hello man, first of all I would like to congratulate you for such a nice and detailed list of instructions! But I have a question: where did you get the USB charging port? Is it the one you describes as an "iPhone emergency charging module" and you just tore ir apart to take the circuit?
I have just finished mine. It has a bit "box sound". Maybe a bass reflex hole helps it? At higher volume and bass levels the handle is vibrating loudly. Maybe some strong magnets at the inner side of the lid will hold it.

This one runs straight off of the 12v supply on my boat. It has an 8mm brass cable gland for strain relief and two phone charger sockets.

I have two 3W,4ohm speakers. I tested them with pam8403 and the speakers produced distortion at 100% volume.1. Does your build have that kind of distortion?2. Can I add resistors before the amplifier to limit the max volume?

Bluetooth modules don't use a lot of energy so it's ok to use these. The good thing about it is that it's small. One drawback is that you would have to step up the voltage to 5V to use it with the isolator.
A cheap way to solve this is using a DC/DC isolator between the battery and the Bluetooth module. Just search for "dc/dc 0505 isolator". But notice that there are 1 watt and 2 Watt Models. Depending on situation, 1W can make the Bluetooth modules integrated "preamp" distort when a lot of bass is transmitted from your source to the module. I have also seen that people solve this by adding one buffering capacitor parallel to input and a second one to output of the dc/dc isolator.
currently trying to make this right now. However, I got a few questions since I have to source most of the supplies online. I have a photo of what I plan on getting for the speaker, amp, ground loop isolator, and power cord. However, since I source most of my supplies through amazon, I am not sure if I have those items right and cannot seem to find a led voltmeter, screw terminal, battery charger, battery pack, led control panel, or remote control. I've got the on/off switch, and I think I purchased the correct 10v fuse. Any help on what I need to get and where to get it?
I want to make it as same as you. What is the housing length and width. Please answer now

Thanks for posting this. I am attempting to make one as well. My challenge is that I cannot figure out how to build the battery pack. I have 20 or so 18650's. How do I build the pack so that I don't burn down the house? The amp I am using requires 12v. Thanks for the help.
