I found an old metal file card box with a bunch of old lighters in it! Some look quite old as you can see from the photo. I am going to try to fix a few of simple ones first, and hopefully I can work up to fixing the MaruMan-Baroque, the Prince Gardner, and the Ronson Triumph.
When I first saw this, it reminded me of "Apollo 13", when the astronauts had to make a CO2 scrubber with material within their space pods. Has that feel to me. Really like it!
I have seen plastic boxes like that without the separators. Not to diss your hard work, but I think you could get an "empty" box, fill it with that black stiff foam rubber like they have in gun cases, cut to size and for outlets, and THEN cut the exit holes as you did. Question: Why didn't you use the Dremel wheel for the outside cuts?Regardless, not a bad first instructable! :D
Really lovely design on the cheap! Love the look of copper. Thought about doing a table top with it, as I use to go to a bar with a copper surface.
