I recently started a new job, so I am sorry I have not been updating this page as frequently! I'll be back at it once I get settled in at work.

PIR motion activated, Raspberry Pi Twitter security camera is in the works! Testing the individual components before putting all the code together. So far I have successfully completed python code to send text tweets from the command line as well as code to trigger the camera to take a photo and upload it to a twitter account automatically. I am working with RPi.GPIO and wiringPi to determine which is best for my project. Currently it looks like I will go with wiringPi since it does not present as many hang ups with requiring root permissions.

Ok, I lied. The dead drop will have to wait, I forgot I no longer have my monitor with an HDMI input. On the bright side, I created another quick project that I'll have a tutorial for by the end of the day!

Now that I have my sound reactive LED tutorial published, I'm turning my attention to a new project. Tomorrow I am going to attempt to learn how to turn a Raspberry Pi into a bluetooth dead drop ( The plan is to complete the project and post a completed tutorial all before the end of the day tomorrow!

Sorry for going dark on everyone for the past two months, the first month I spent studying for a CompTIA Security+ Certification (took the test and passed!) and the second month I was caught up in filling out job applications as well as prepping for a few interviews. I plan on getting back to creating instructables shortly so please sit tight!

It's been a bit of a busy week, but I'll get back to writing as soon as possible! I just finished making a sound activated LED strip with a Parallax sound impact sensor and an Arduino Uno so stay tuned for another instructable!

My next tutorials will take a step back from the Raspberry Pi and focus on another one of my hobbies, photography! (Ha...focus...hilarious!)

I will go over the basic functions of a camera used on full manual, basic photography terms and composition rules.

Next tutorial will be how to turn your Raspberry Pi into a personal web server. I use mine to host a custom HTML resume with links to any other websites I am associated with. I look forward to seeing what you all do with it!

(I should be publishing the instructable in the next day or so)

Next tutorial will be how to turn your Raspberry Pi into a personal web server. I use mine to host a custom HTML resume that also has links to anything else I am involved with on the web. I will show my site as an example and hope to see what you all come up with!
