With Instructables you can share what you make with the world, and tap into an ever-growing community of creative experts.
The contest manager and I do not know what that is. It looks like the Dev team testing the new Design Only contests layout.
The design challenges are something new we are trying so it can be confusing, but we are hoping everything will smooth out for everyone! Do you have any specific questions I can help you with?
Correct. Please design 2 opposing sides of the speaker enclosure.
Residents of UAE cannot participate because the UAE's rules regarding contests prevent us from allowing you to enter.
This contest is not open to residents of Italy.
Are you still having trouble? If so, try clearing your cookies and cache to see if that clears things up!
Mexico is not on the list of coutnries that can leagally participate in this contest.
We do not have anything planned currently.
Please see the Eligibility section in the Official Rules
For this challenge, you only concentrate on designing 2 opposing sides of the speaker enclosure. If you are interested in doing more you can create an Instructable, but it won't work for this challenge.
Yes and yes :)
It's so FLUFFY!
Their website says the speaker dimensions are 4.75” x 4.75” x 4.75”.For this design challenge, you just need to design 2 opposing sides of the speaker enclosure and that's it. As long as you follow that requirement you should be set.
Yes. You are actually only suppose to design the 3D model and enter that. That's it, you don't need to print anything off :)
You can create an instructable and create a 3D model (stl file) for this challenge. They would just be two separate things that relate to each other :)We currently do not have a medical innovation challenge planned.
Only design 2 opposing sides. Either the top and bottom or left and right sides.
Another Design Challenge coming up next week!
Yes, as long as you are taking a start file of the BOSEbuild speaker case and designing either the top and bottom OR the left and right sides.Go crazy with your designs. We want to see anything and everything :)
You can only do 3D designs for these challenges. The way you enter involves uploading your STL file and an image or two but that's it. You don't make anything physical for these challenges.
That's great! If you did want to pursue adding a raspberry pi or other electronics, you could create an Instructable for that after this contest :)I look forward to seeing your designs!
Yay for glitter!
Omg! This is the tiniest herb garden! I love it :)
The following countries can participate in the contest per the official rules:- 50 United States (Including The District of Columbia but excluding Puerto Rico)- Canada (Excluding The Province of Quebec, Canada)- United Kingdom- Australia- Belgium- China- The Netherlands- Colombia- Denmark- Germany- India- Norway- New Zealand- Switzerland
That's awesome! It's crazy that that's made of glue :)
Ah! Thank you :)
That's cool, I hadn't heard of that :)
I was pretty excited when I learned how to change the background :DI heard they didn't like making them because people would order a bunch of them at once and that the ingredients to make them would dye their hands. I also think there are people who don't like making the Frappuccinos in general so having a new one added to the menu must annoy them. I was at a Starbucks once and the whole time the baristas were making mine and other peoples frappes, they complained loudly about how they hate making them. Never went back to that Starbucks.
No magic color changing from me, just food coloring and a melting drink :)
None this week :( Things just didn't work out.
A sewing contest is possible in the future, but I cannot confirm anything yet.
No gears contest is currently planned.
That looks really fun! I love that you were able to do all the colors with such a small cake :)
That sounds great! Most of the time I just kind of wing it :) I also usually make it with 1% or 2% since that is what I usually drink on a weekly basis.

If you are premium Instructables member you can download the PDF. Otherwise you can copy and paste the directions to print them. Or you should be able to do File > Print and just print the webpage off :)
No more cake decorating contest.
These are awesome! I like that you just need those pipe cleaners and you can shape them however you want!
Had some changes so we have updated again for the summer!
Fabric As Removable Wallpaper
Very well made! Makes me think of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas :)
That is the reason it is ideal that people join up with local Makerspaces/Hackerspaces/Maker groups so the prizes can be shared easily :)
Not really. You can look at profiles, but not everyone shares your location. I think your best bet would look to your community and see if there is an existing makerspace or hackerspace you can join up with. It would probably be easiest to find people who live near you and get together to form a team than to try to do it thorugh the website.
You have to create a team before you can sign up for the contest. The mile radius rule is because the point of the contest is to get a makerspace/hackerspace/general making group together and participate; that is why the prizes are all big tools that are meant to be shared amongst people at a place where everyone can share them :)Votes are for the individual prizes.
It is understandable that not everyone on your team will be able to follow through with creating something. We just ask that everyone that signs up do their best to participate. Also, you only need a minimum of 5, and you can always add to your team up to 20 members throughout the contest if more people show interest. Just make sure everyone that particpate on your team is registered for your team.
What Kiteman said. It is less than a week till the start of the contest. It is fine if you start working on some projects, just wait until it launches to post and then, throughout the contest, post your projects as you make them. We just want to keep things fair and fun for everyone so we ask you don't hold onto entries. It will also, probably, break the site if a bunch of teams try to post 100s of projects on the last day :)
Only those 3 individual prizes are focused on Fusion 360. The other individual prize and the group prizes don't require Fusion.
The judging is the same as any other contest on the site. "A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners."Your I'ble does need to be pubushed and entered in the contest and you must still be part of a team to enter.
It's flexible. If you are joining a team to an area you are moving to that is fine. Just don't join two teams from two different places :)
It's the sprinkles that add the extra something to it :)
Class Project — Get Baking!
Yeah it probably helped while I was making them that my house was colder than other people's probably is.
They are very good if I don't say so myself :)
They are very tasty! You don't have to add them in if you don't want to or can't find them, but I recommend it :)
Hmm, it may be that the blender wasn't strong enough. That is a problem I have had in the past which is why I usually use small ice cubes.Or it could be that you have too much liquid and not enough ice.
Frappuccinos really are pretty addictive :)
You can just leave it out :) It has been a while since I made this, but I don't think it makes a huge difference in taste. Also, it just won't be green then, but you can add food coloring if you want it to be green.
That's good to hear :D
Those are great! Can you actually go inside that chicken?!?
Castles are fun!
Same here! That is what I end up spending a lot of my time doing when I play :)
Yeah, mine is always melted before I'm halfway done with it :) You can add more milk too if you find the flavor too strong since the melted ice dilutes it.
Outdoor Side Table From Two 2x4s and a Bag of Concrete
DIY Moisturizing Bath Bombs
I need to make these! Do you need oil and essential oils? I assume the essential oil is for smell, is the other for the moisturizing-ness?
PS I don't know if I want to buy a mold. Would it be possible to use a cupcake liner in a cupcake pan as a mold?
How to Make a Modular Queen Storage Bed
Love it! What resource packs did you use to get those texutres? They look great!
I'm sure it looks great :)
Wonderful outdoor decorations!
Looks great! I love going into the villages and seeing what I can do with their buildings :)
Thank you :) Now the question is, can I still wear it when I'm no longer pregnant.
