You patina the base first. Then block off the part of the 24g wire with nail polish where the beads will go. That way the patina won't show through the beads. Since there are 2 more layers on top of the base, a second round of patina is needed to get those new areas.Hope this helps!

Hi!I haven't run into this before - my dog's toenails are bigger than mine : )I have a couple of ideas though. You could try some good glue - GS Hypo Cement, E-6000, or clear 2-part epoxy. You could also try gluing a fabric backing on the backs of the swirls, like the kind used for appliqué. Or if you solder, solder the wrap ring on to a wide band that fits your finger.(When I make earrings with swirls for people with long hair, I use the Hypo cement on the back side in a couple of layers)Please let me know what you try and how it works out.

Hi! I estimate this recipe makes about 12 quarts. That sounds like a lot, but it freezes really well. I freeze one week portions and put them in the frig to defrost a couple of days before the last weeks' portion runs out. You should probably check with your vet about fat proportions, since pancreatitis is so fats-sensitive.I hope this helps!! Please let me know how your puppy does on this food - I'd love to know and so would others : )~Rhondaps My girl is almost 5 now and I've got her bad tummy almost completely managed. She can eat other foods if we're careful, but I always go back to homemade food when her tummy acts up. The biggest problem lately is that she's soooo spoiled and only wants her homemade meals : )

Wow! In 5 years I haven't seen another dog that looks so much like mine. Even the way he reaches out to your other dog is the same. Do you know what breed he is? Is he also very skittish? My girl is doing much better. I now give her a combination of puppy food and homemade food. And when her stomach starts acting up, I immediately give her otc anti diarrhea and antacid pills. (You'll want to check w a vet on meds)Also, it's counterintuitive, but she does well with fats. Meat drippings, chicken skin, etc. You'll have to see what works for Asher.Thank you so much for sharing! Let me know how he does : )

Hi! I wanted to give you an update on my experience, which is pretty positive. It took close to a year to really get my shop going, but now it's my best platform. It was crucial to have inventory in well ahead of the holiday season. Also, Amazon gives you $50 worth of free advertising, which was super important to me. I was able to experiment with keywords and stuff to see what worked and what didn't. I know there are a lot of vendors, but there are also A LOT of customers. There's also Amazon Custom and Amazon Business now, which might work better for some makers. I'm not going to get rich this way, but I get to make things and sell them so I can make more things! Here's my shop, if you're curious: https://www.amazon.com/handmade/Rhonda-Chase-Desi...Feel free to ask me questions on th...

Thanks!I used bare copper jewelry wire. I use bare wire or it would not accept the patina. I have used hardware store copper wire at times, but I always check the purity (I think it should be 99% copper). I use dead soft wire for most of my projects, so I have to assess the softness of the wire as it won't be labeled for jewelry making. The other problem is getting the right gauge wire. It's hard to get wire in the 18-24g range at a hardware store. However, hardware stores are great for buying large gauge copper wire for sculpting and hammering. I buy my copper wire (actually all my wire) online by the pound. (I buy silver by the ounce ) Also, while I've heard of people using electrical wire, it will have all the issues mentioned above and be time-consuming to harvest the wire. If you d...

Hi Lynn. I understand your frustration! My girl is almost 4 now and is doing much better. I still worry about getting her to eat, and she still throws up when she doesn't eat, but it's far less often. I now have her on dry puppy food mixed with extra protein - chicken, tuna etc. I sometimes also add extra fat, like beef drippings, if her weight is dropping too much. In addition, I've learned her subtle indications that she's starting to have a bad tummy episode. This allows me to do a few things. I'm usually able to get her outside before she vomits. This makes everyone happier. When her tummy is making loud noises, I know it's time to give her Imodium (vet approved), before she gets diarrhea. When there's nothing more for me to do, the vet prescribes anti-everything to get the episode ...

Try bronze, silver-filled, or copper. Copper square wire is easy to find online and pretty cheap. Here's a link for 22g, square, dead soft copper wire: https://www.wirejewelry.com/square-copper-wire/22_Gauge_Square_Dead_Soft_Copper_Wire-7429-899.html

Hi, Thanks! I get my resin in various places for different uses. Sometimes I just get clear 2-part epoxy at the hardware store if I'm doing small projects. This costs about $6, but it's a very small amount. For larger quantities, I use Easy Cast from a craft store (use a coupon!) or Ice Resin, which I buy online. These are in the $20-$30 range. Note: Easy Cast yellows, so only use it in projects that yellowing won't matter. Ice Resin stays clear. I hope this helps!
