i've made a lot of these for an artist, Charlemagne Palestine. he uses them in his big installations. we call them "schmatta ropes", schmatta means rag, in yiddish. i use a ton of scraps but i don't dye them because i have a huge stock of different colors, and Charlemagne loves them motley.i got two different technics : the first one is to make a braid with long scraps, and i add small scraps by tying them as i'm braiding. my other technic is to sew the scraps on a ribbon, this allows me to use small bits that i couldn't tie/braid. the process is way faster than braiding, the result is also more dense and fluffy.you can see one of the shmattas i made on the foreground of this pic : https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/images/ic/976x549_b/p01wd...

Fun With Popsicle Sticks for Kids
nicee :)you can use felt fabric or plastic bags (thick ones), so as the edges don't look torn and they won't wear out when handled. another option is to stabilize the fabric with some glue on the edges.

Vikings Themed Paracord Bracelet
this is so relaxing.
this looks like recipe my russian grandmother used to cook, except that she put 4 spices mix into it, and cook the meatballs in a pan, with tomatoe coulis. and they were served with mashed potatoes. the meat was half pork and half beef.
i had twice the occasion to watch a guy working flint to create prehistoric tools, i find the process fascinating. i can picture how you did this (though i would have been pleased to see you working!). i've never imagined it could be feasible with glass! you got my vote
so refine and classy outside, and the lining adds a touch of fancy inside :)i agree, no leaf is better, it's too classy to fall into "kawaii" look.
S H E L F Ter
the tricky part in this : how did you manage to save the hollow details on the sides of the object???have you think of a patina, to make this pewter cast look more carbonite-ish? :)
"female look"? they look pretty manly, in my opinion :3
oh! i'm so sorry, i didn't even see there were several steps... i'm too tired and busy these days... thank you.
it would be interesting to show a pic when the table is unfolded...
THE ULTIMATE OMELET
Azurophone - A marvelous Steampunk Bluetooth Speaker
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! XDi laugh but at the same time it makes me think of my currently disfunctional personal color lazer printer... T_T
How to Deal With a Sudden Loss of Your Favorite Printer at Your Workplace
i'd like to acclaim the patience you put in the shaping process. the other instructable shows a very different aesthetic, more orque-ish and brutal. your result looks elvish and refine :Di guess there are many places where you could collect a lot of bottle caps to make a whole armor, like sport stadium, bars, just ask and you'd be surprized how happy people could be to help you in this project (especially if this help consists in emptying some beer bottles to give you the cap ^^)
at last, a rubik's cube i can actually SOLVE!!!
The Rust Bucket
Jim's Rising Chair
i've been to hospital lately, they do have vynil medical gloves, safe for both latex allergic patients and nursing staff. those gloves are probably available in common drugstores too. :)
"if you're allergic to latex, use rubber glove" lol no, please NO, rubber glove are made of latex! fortunately there are vynil gloves for latex allergic people :Dapart from this, nice job, your mask is extra creepy. have you consider to glue (with latex) a zipper behind to make sure the mask stays in place when you wear it?
Child's Space Helmet
LOL i also thought the pose is pretty suggestive XD@Magic Manu le berceau est prêt juste à temps pour un remake moderne de la crèche ^^(et aussi, t'as de la chance d'être aussi bien outillé pour réaliser tout ça!)
*two thumbs up* :D
oooh j'avais pas vu passer celui-là! trop classe, Barbie est prête à affronter l'hiver :D
i'm fond of celtic knots and interlacings, your instructable pushed me to have a try!i did it with an old piece of string i removed from a raincoat. as the piece of string was like 50cm long i couldn't do more than two rows, but i'm happy to see i can actually make it.i think i'll have a bigger try later, maybe if i find some used plastic sailboat rope i'd make a doormat. :D
i want to try this just for the fun to do it! :D
this is funny and cool :Dand for those who are not as skilled as you for modelling clay, they can buy a small bear figurine and cut off the head :)
i agree. final result is nice, but this is makeover, not making.

Origami Cube Cakes
this is... wow... i can't help thinking of Hannibal Lecter XDis there a special reason why you use cocoa powder to coat the pan? i usually use flour for that. is it a matter of color?
toujours aussi chouette, et tellement plus stylé que les meubles officiels Barbie en plastique rose :D
their faces remind me of some creatures from a cute-weird game "Botanicula" :)
i made a chalkboard door in my kitchen, i'll try this :)
i'm amazed and i want to roll this giant dice XDgood job! and the story about the table saw is pretty moving :')
if the back looks a bit torn, at least the face is complete, and the defects are interesting. a perfect cast may have been boring :)
truly horrific!! XDand clever use of the plastic nails.
good job, it's beautiful :)
c'est énorme!! :Dpas cher et réaliste, beau travail encore cette fois :)par contre Ken devra faire pipi assis lui aussi :D
How to Make Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
and now i'm drooling... fun fact, i just made some chicken soup for my partner a hour ago with roasted chicken leftovers, but i used ready made star shaped pastas. a kick in the butt would give me the impulse to try at least once to make fresh noodles.
