I also recommend converting 24 and 30 can soda can packs into storage. I tend to use the 24 packs more due to how often the 24 packs of our favourite soda is on special. Remember to leave the entire back on one of the ends for stability. You might also find it useful to do a small amount of further reinforcement, but this really depends on your needs, resources and/or inclinations. Decorate as desired.In the photo taken below, you will note that I am also using the idea for temporary book storage ahead of getting some wooden shelves for the purpose. The structure isn't particularly good for heavier books, but does suit magazines quite well. I also got a bit lazy and didn't make the angled cuts typical of magazine storage. - KeikoM
Ok, so if the USPS is not funded by tax dollars, is it not even more 'stealing' to take these boxes from a full fledged business... The reality is complicated, of course. With their operating costs being way higher than their profits, they need subsidies to keep going.
