thanks, very well written.

it would also be feasible to make a pseudo polygon arch.. I've seen both ways. the advantage being if you intend on installing segments of transparent roof.

Arduino Controlled Pump for Draining Water
I would make sure the proper wiring is used. if there is damage for any reason, the insurance company may deny compensation.

razor blade at a low angle... maybe like 5% or less
it is poor at removing adhesives, but it won't damage most things. the key is to warm up the surface with hot water.. the adhesive gets soft and is pliable. I use good paper towels and alcohol.
I always try to remove labels without great first, then I put the container in boiling water and use acetone to remove residue. rubbing alcohol if it's plastic.
alternatively, would it be feasible to machine an insert versus pounding out a tool?
next time I find some springs I'll have to save them.. tool steel isn't cheap!

Piezo Element Multimeter
Not an expert, but I would definitely bevel the pieces and fill the bevel out to where you ended up to ensure the weld doesn't break when your smacking something with a hammer. looks great
The Best Simple Chilli
looks like the chili my mother makes. sure uses bay leaves in her chili though. I'll try it asap!
Build a Large Space Saving CNC Router For Under £600!
get a gas heater... very good providing heat, burn pretty clean as well.
Also nice because they usually screw into a propane tank for a grill, so no having to figure out a way to mount it etc. Can usually find them cheap at hardware stores.. Farm equipment stores.

How to Make a Cool Dragonfly Sculpture From Scrap Steel
could use butter knives for the wings I believe... neat!
looks like a good project, however how did you determine the load bearing capacity of the building this is attached to?
by shorting the circuit, you will be introducing more stress on the other components in the circuit. also, would be careful to use properly insulated wire.
How to Make a VU Meter Using Arduino
silicon tubing will probably be good up until 5-600 degrees F. glass melts in excess of 1000 degrees.
good idea. I have used pipe and a hammer and clamps for bending before... Not sure how I would bend the legs in this case.
used the Placidip method myself for my small set. may need 4 to 5 coats though.
I wouldn't use it on anything but wires.
if you are using sheet metal, why not just buy in tube form?
Raspberry Pi and Arduino LCD
puts Barney to shame :)
the inductive loading may cause voltage spikes... while this may not affect anything in the short term, in the long term it may reduce the life of the leds
DIY Camera Microscope
hydrochloric acid well remove the iron oxide, but for the most part leave the other metal alone. just make sure to remove the acid after the rust is gone, as if it sits there, the acid will react with the air and metal and eat away at the metal over time.
I realize this is old, but now that more of these power supplies are hitting 2nd hand store shelves, it's good to know this so the psu can be used for other purposes. the main thing which must be stressed, is that this power supply is not main earth grounded! using a grounded power supply will give you better protection from a personal safety standpoint, as well as providing (hopefully) cleaner power. a simple voltage divider will work for turning this power supply on. i used 2 5xx ohm resistors, which netter 2.55 v, however anything 50-50 or 1/3 will do (3.3v). I checked the output on my supply, and found under no load the power is pretty clean. I have'nt had a chance to test under load yet. also, not utilizing the 5 volt rail.. using a lm2576-5 instead.
next project, privacy fence so that you don't have to see the sand pit over the fence.
