Have had plenty of people sit on the bench - of varying heights - and they all say it is comfortable. I thought that perhaps a taller person might find it uncomfortable.
Since posting the project, we have made 11 of these benches at our DIY workshops - and have only use  plywood supports. So you can easily cut  sections from half a sheet of plywood.

It was initially, but it went soft after brushing down with a soft brush. It also goes softer on its own after walking on it for a few days. Janice
You could use them for storage and seating in any room and outdoors.
We are using them now for seating and they haven't tipped over and are empty.
I used the base of the toilet simply as an example of how to cut curves to fit around any fixture. Here in South Africa, our drain is at the back and the base is cemented to the floor.
