Sir, you are a genius!! I LOVE the US map on your kitchen counter. You should travel around the country as an all-encompassing exhibition. I'll bet that would more than cover the cost of gas and any future changes/upgrades...You sure have my vote!

Very clever! I did something similar - back when sewing was one of my passions - where I turned a huge pair of linen pants into a dress.

Wow! You should really patent this idea, after the changes you plan on making. And since you do seem to be interested in that, you might want to do so ASAP, especially if you plan on filing for a US patent. As per the law (updated during Obama's tenure), the patent is awarded to the first person who applied for it - not necessarily the first person to come up with the idea - so yes, an unscrupulous person could take it from you! And you got my vote.

But again, having a core of wood would make it really difficult to get the cross cuts along the collar. You'd need to chop up some of the color pencils, then affix them to the top surface of the wood and somehow keep them from falling over while the resin hardens!Oh, maybe you could drill holes into the wooden core and stick the color pencils in. What do you think, would the potential savings on resin be worth the time and energy spent making it this way? I hope so :)
Simply Beautiful! You got my vote!I do agree though, that having a core of wood would make it a lot cheaper...

Hi again, just a few suggestions:You can list drilI machine as power or electrical drilI (cordless if available), and shoe almirah as shoe cabinet, since many people don't know what an almirah is... Instead of Fevicol (which not everyone is familiar with), you may want to list it as multipurpose or craft adhesive, or wood glue. Some people only think of chewing gum when they see the word gum, so glue or adhesive might be better.Small screws would work better than nails, especially since people will already be using the drill (which in most cases, can also be used as a screwdriver by changing out the bit). There is a risk of damaging the nice hexagons with a hammer. Also, I believe you meant paper doilies, not dollies?:) You could even mention wallpaper, which in some countries comes with...see more »

As a chemistry teacher for over a decade, I can really appreciate this! What a fantastic idea!! One does not necessarily have to fill every cube. For those involving radioactive elements, one could use a symbol depicting its use - like a little crab (for cancer), or a symbol of energy. Those that are fleeting and 'to our knowledge' do not exist in nature, can be represented by a future use or a likeness of the scientist that discovered them. One could also have a sculpted form of the element's name - or number, for those that have not yet been discovered... There can be no limits to one's creativity!
And oh, I voted for you too!

Very nice, I just voted! This will go well with a rustic theme too. We just bought the industrial work table from Costco, for our sloooowly evolving outdoor kitchen... It has 'X's on both short sides and I've been looking for cabinetry to match. This will be perfect! Thank you!!

Nice, simple and 'do'able solution to a common problem - especially in California... I commend you for your spirit of gardening on the rooftop, especially with fruit trees like apple, which do not like too much sun! I voted for you :)
