I am glad youlike this project but it would be better if you try to make thespeakers by yourself, perhaps with a little help from friends or atthe woodworking shop in your area. I always say,if I can do it you can do it! Use your imagination, plan your stepsand I will gladly help you to make it possible.

I am glad youlike it.The whole pointof the diagonal brace is to cancel as mush as possible the resonanceproduced from the vibration of the sound waves and the air pressurewith the minimum effort (one brace) plus minimizes the vibrations ofthe cabinet as it becomes stiffer.Without the brace we will end up with a classic rectangular cabinetshape with all the cons of resonance we all know. To answer yourquestion, yes you can make the loudspeakers work without the diagonalbrace as well but it would be better including it if you can for theabove reasons.The Helmholtzresonator effect on a speaker cabinet has to do with the bass reflexport or vent as it must be well calculated to match the frequency atwhich the box/port system resonates at the chosen lower frequency.These calculations must include the driver parameters, the cabinetvolume and the length / diameter of the vent port.

Now lets say for every onespeaker there is one connection in total. On a 2-way (two speaker)crossover there are three connections.
