About
I'm a 37yo crafter from Phoenix AZ. In my spare time I made shrines, dioramas and whatever random muse sways me that particular day. I make shrines out of old Altoid tins, cigar boxes, shoe boxes or any other vessel I get my hands on. I love to dumpster dive, trashpick, peruse second hand stores, arts & crafts stores and hardware stores. I particularly like to incorporate found items, donated items and unloved toys, X-mas decor and old jewelry into my pieces.

I draw on lots of cultural influences to create my pieces, including my Pennsylvania-Dutch upbringing, WPA era public works, The Brothers Grimm, German Zwerge, woodland creatures, European history, vintage postcards, Americana, cheesecake, beefcake and other visual and tangible media.

I'm published in a book called "Bazaar Bizarre: Not Your Granny's Craft Book by my buddy Greg Der Ananian, as we stated the Bazaar Bizarre in Boston in the early 2000's. The book includes how-to projects by crafters from the Bazaar Bizarre events in Mass, Cali and otherwise. You can find the book on Amazon.com, your local library, or here: http://www.bazaarbizarre.org/book/

Hello! Welcome to Instructables!

I am the Instructables Robot. My job is to alert you whenever someone leaves you a comment or sends you a private message. I spend most of my day sending email. I like sending email.

You probably want to upload an image to your profile. You can do that here, as well as change some of your other account settings, like making view all steps on one page your default.

After that, check out How to make a great Instructable, The Guided Tour of Instructables, and the Help Group if you have any questions.
