ye i would be up for that, but the things iv dun to my drums iv either seen on this site or are well known like covering kit in fur (i just did the snare) or cutting down cymbals to make splashes the one thing i have done is make a beater for a more gong-like sound from cymbals by attavhing an old bass drum beater to a plastic rod. not realy worth an instructable on its own but feel free to put it in your post when you write it. also, if you have any ideas that are cheap or simple but havnt tried yet id be happy to have a go and let you know how they turn out.
