Thank you! It is a good way to prevent people from inhaling fumes from burning the ends of paracord.

Hi and welcome! We're glad you want to share something with the community, but unfortunately this doesn't qualify as an Instructable . . . but you can fix it so it does! :)An Instructable shows others how to do or make something, and outlines the steps to show readers how to duplicate what you have done. Would you like to make some changes or additions to this? Leave me a message here if you do, and I will take a look and publish this if it is ready! Thanks, Your friendly neighborhood instructables staff.
Hi and welcome! We're glad you want to share something with the Instructables community! It is worth a try with regards to him yelling at you from his window. You may want to send a copy to the local police dept as well. It might be best to leave the driveway incident out of it for now.
Good points. With regards to the adhesive, I did not have the time. I had to build the platform in my apartment, bring it down to the pizzaria and the 2x3s on the subway, then assemble it at the pizzaria within a few hours. The metal brackets would be good, particularly a 90 degree one on the platform. The owners wanted a completely clean and smooth platform, so I had to forgo using them. But perhaps on Version 2!
If you do a rebuild I would suggest adhesive along with the screws (about 10 times less screws) or metal brackets at the joints that are fairly cheap at any hardware store.
waterproofing is possible, can also use products that makr it hydrophobic
yes, not easy, but is possible. but obviously will not last as long as wood. rain outside and chicken inside is not the friendliest combo
Can I give this to my neighbor who is constantly complaining about my dog barking, or when he yells from his window saying "I know you hear me, I see your lights on?". Also, there was a time when my brother was in the driveway about to pull off with his music on, and the neighbor comes to his backyard (which is fenced and faces our driveway), and tells my brother to turn his music down?
Can you waterproof it?
Sounds like a great idea. Maybe waterproofing the cardboard would help to make the structural integrity stronger.

:-) No, eggs. Have done it with a simple cardboard box but next design is a bit more elaborate using cardboard as much as possible rather than wood
yes, just a bit worried about the moisture, both from inside and outside. When gluing cardboard I mostly use cellulose based wallpaper glue. easy to use, cheap and sturdy
When we were testing it, we in fact had some concerns about the 2 butt joints that are attaching the vertical supports to the platform. I put in about 10 to 12 T20 screws into each 2x3, and we were still getting a bit of flex in the joint. We did a quick test with a case of bottles water and it seemed to hold. But you are right, the real test will come when they load it up with 10 pizza pies and a case of soda, which would be pushing about 120 lbs. If it fails we will do a redesign from the ground up.
Interesting idea! Maybe construction adhesive for metals would work?
Thank you! Your cardboard incubator sounds like a great idea. Will it be for plants?
The cardboard henhouse should be workable. A few glued layers of cardboard should provide good structural integrity to it.
I think you'd be wise and a lot more screws to that thing. It doesn't look like you have enough to handle more than a few pizzas without risking the whole thing breaking apart.Better safe than sorry ?
Anyway, great instructable. I love making things out of cardboard. Just a pity sometimes still needs a bit of structural support.Currently even houses are build from cardboard (with some woodens support) covered with moisture barrier and I admit a wooden siding.nevertheless, an underestimated resource. Currently making an incubator out of cardboard and thinking if I can make a hen-house out of cardboard - diy_bloke
I think I tried it for a short while, was OK, but i went to Ubuntu - diy_bloke
Instead of using tape, I may try to use a glue and dedicate the unit entirely - thanks!
