Oldcrone, you and I share a few things! I, too look after my husband who has congestive heart failure, diabetes, kidney failure, liver malfunction, to name a few. Currently, he is in the hospital. We hope he can come home soon. Just don't know if he will come home again, yet. I too, make soap! I love creating new formulas for soap bases as well as essential oils, and or fragrance oil blends. I think I have finalized a good cold process soap oil base, as the last one I did lathers very nicely, remains a hard bar that lasts a long time and is nicely conditioning to the skin. I will very soon be experimenting with liquid soaps! I just ordered my Potassium Hydroxide today, I can't wait, it is like a kid at Christmas waiting for the stuff to arrive! Our youngest daughter just turned 16, so she is still with us too. It is nice, as I have a no ligaments in my knees, making many of the daily routine chores hard for me to handle. She is a real trooper and willing (most of the time) to be of valuable help. Our family is more important to us than most other things too. We have two cats and love animals, plants and cooking too!
