It's funny you ask. The bottom plant is one i got for my birthday in February, it's a succulent but I've forgotten its name. I bought the two hanging ones on top from someone on the side of the road. They had no name and every time a stem breaks I re plant. So there's more and more. I have spider plant, and i snapped some growth off of some plants in places. I'm very good at getting cuttings to grow so pretty much if I break it I grow it. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Your baby kale were a bit leggy, CFL don't put out quite as high as you want, you want more like 5500+ but brain is foggy at the moment. Anyway, I've used those really cheap strips of LED lights you can buy at Amazon for 15 for 15 to 20 feet long and you can make it so you can lower or raise it as your baby plants grow. Also, you might consider buying "patio" type hybrids which will stay the size and shape toy bed for your containers. Great 'ible.
Simple. Easy to understand. Made it in an afternoon. From comments, covered bottles with duct tape. Plants love it!Thanks for recyclable idea!

I've done this the same way! It's easy and simple. I do this sometimes when I am in the mood. I love cooking and this is a fun way. I had to use a tea kettle to keep the temperature at the desired temp.
