That's a great question. My first attempt was my perfect. I had no spring back that I could tell. My second I had a lot of spring back, and that piece I deemed unusable. my third and final attempt I had just a bit, where it came back about an inch(it's the rear fender). The reason I suspect for this is that my first attempt I was able to get my the boards thinner. than in the latter attempts. My suggestion would be to get them as thin as possible, reducing the chance of springback.
