Smart LED Window
It handles pretty well! :) In fact there is not much difference with and without the gimbal when flying, you just fly differently with the gimbal, for example you don't do flips^^ But otherwise it handles really good!
Engineering a 2D Printed Logo into a 3D Object
On the bottom just below the flight controller ;)
Well a 3 axis gimbal give a better stabilization than a 2 axis one :) This 2 axis gimbal will also work fine, but there won't be stabilization on the yaw axis ;) Thanks ! :)
This is the Diatone ZMR200 carbon fiber frame :)
Thanks!! :) Well for a super powerfull setup I use the DYS MR2205 - 2700 Kv, they are awesome!! With some three bladed props like the DAL ones the drone is just ultra powerfull, I have a race drone with this setup and it is the fatest one I have lol
Haha thanks a lot I glad you liked it :)
Flight time on "semi chill" flight (fast speed but no flips) is about 3 minutes on a 1400 mAh 4S lipo. It is not really less than a standard racer because you fly this one much more smoothly and less agressively so event though the 300 gr extra weight fly time is similar to an agressive racer flight
It's in my drone setup :) I am using a Naze 32 flight controller, but I'm flying in full accro mode anyway so there's no stabilization from the Flight controller, only from the Pilot :)
Thanks a lot!! :D I'm glad you like it! let me know if you build one I'll be glad to help if needed ;)
Thank you! I'm glad you like it :)
It'll depend on your motors and on the overall size of your frame, 5 inches props might be a little small for lifting a camera + gimbal, I'd probably go for 6 inches
I think the Gimbal will fit ;) Yes I have a naze32, the measure is maybe a little big, I think the 4 holes of the Naze32 are located in 31 or 32mm square
Thanks for the invite! I'm interested in Tech and workshop :)
I have the Walkera G2-D on one of my drone that is pretty nice (http://www.gearbest.com/fpv-system/pp_226000.html) but I don't know if the Xiaomi will fit, otherwise, you have this cheap 3 Axis gimbal that looks great and will fit the xiaomi: http://www.gearbest.com/fpv-system/pp_244970.html
Well it depends on your Budget, Gopros will give you the best footage but cost around $400 for brand new ones which is a little overpriced and expensive. You also have many new gopro clone that are a LOT cheaper like the Eken 4K (from banggood), Turnigy 2K (from hobbyking), or the popular Xiaomi action camera, they are around $60 to $120 and will give you great results too! Well yes there are some gimbal that will help you stabilize your footage but they cost around $70 and will need some fitting, you'll also need to power them to it'll be good to have a spare power source coming from your PDB
Well it will depend on the size of propellers you want to mount, for example, if you plan to mount 6 inches propellers, make sure to have room for them, you can check this by drawing a 6 inches diameter circle around your motors mounts and check if they don't hit the main center plate ;)
Yep sure ! If you want t mount a gopro on it, I'd say that the minimum size should be 250mm from motor to motor (as explained in the instructable), but you can go bigger too! up to 450mm ! but if you plan to 3d Print it a smaller 250 or 300mm drone will be easier to print
You're welcome :) I'm glad this guide can help you :) Your design looks great! what kind of camera do you want to add? a Gopro ? do you want it to be mounted directly onto the drone or maybe do you want to add a gimbal (stabilization system for the camera)? If you want to mount a gopro for example, I would either stick it below, then add some landing feets on your design, or stick it to the top plate above the drone ;)
