my pommel was made from a radiator leg then I sawed some excess metal off and then filed it smooth. added some ridges to it so the laces would stay centered over it. drilled 2 holes in the bottom 1/4 an inch deep to align with 2 nails sticking out of the bottom of the handle. ( holds it very steady) then when I was ready to lace it on I hot glued it on for stability while lacing.

I tried to do that but it took so long to just drill through once... and I don't have a juelers saw. so for me it was pretty much impossible lots of katanas go over the pommel as well as through the pommel. the art of tsuka wrapping shows how to wrap the pommel on in several different ways.

I was lookin' around at anvils today it's crazy that it's only $11.50 to ship an anvil but to ship my tsuka ito it was also $11 something. lol anyway from the looks of it i don't think you need anything bigger than a 50-60 lb if you can find one without a horn that would be very helpful too. I woudl want atleast a 5 x 10 inch platform I'm currently working with a 4x4 inch not too much fun. :P unless you're gonna try and blacksmith curved things like handles for European swords and stuff I don't think you need a horn.

I use a 4 inch by 4 inch cube on the back of my bench vice. it works but if it were my choice I'd have a 4 foot by 2 foot one. I've heard railroad track works I think the underside is like perfectly flat. You might consider that. if you can high jack some old rail road track lol

        You're right its just one tiny step from communism pretty much it gives you no power we all would work for the government. like you get a job , how would you like it if you got maybe 2.50 an hour? that would be amazing pay for a commoner in a communist country.

         Socialism I think is when the government tells you when or if you can do something.

        like you want to take a vacation you ask the government, they say no. or in barak obama's case health care... It may be free but you may be ether denied treatment OR put on hold for up to 3 weeks a person could die by then. not to meanton since it's free a person might just walk up after smashing his finger and say I need treatment.

No because you'll be paying for the 10's of thousands of homeless people , that don't want to work. (I've seen it) You'll have to at least pay for your own health care and then some. Like I said they may even deny you care my sister has diabetes (the one in the video lol) and if they wont send supplies we could go broke in weeks. It's also another way for the government to take control of OUR lives.it happens in canada all the time old people that may be able to live a good 10 more years left to die just because they don't feel they're worth it.

wile I"m on the subject of health... lol don't get vaccinated and get some vitamin D pills you'll almost never get sick after you take those for a couple weeks. I haven't gt sick this fall yet! since spring.

Vaccinations are what gave my sister diabetes. it used to be unheard of. vaccinations are just a way for those jerks to make money. if anything they just spread diseases.

I am not saying that our health care system right now is perfect by any means.... My sister cant even get health care that's the only reason we'd even want BO's plan to pass so she can get more decent health care but if it were just me than no. it should just be standerd for them to give insurance to people with diabetes... After all they invented  it... Jerks..
