    Melt in Your Mouth Ribs

You are correct the mayo or most use either mustard or even an oil(egg and oil = mayo). Why its used? It is not for flavor in itself, but it keeps the rub on the meat and if done correctly, it makes a good bark. I prefer mustard and always do them on the smoker, using a 321 method, and a Texas crutch, which is after 3 hours of smoke and they no longer need smoke, I wrap them in foil, with worch, brown sugar, apple juice, and butter. Wrapping them in foil(texas crutch) helps to tenderwise them.

It's not an advertisement. I also believe you are correct, that for one off boards it's probably not the way to go, but home fab has its limitation on size and complexity. It's getting harder to find local supplies for etching. I used to get mine at the R shack, or Fry's. I still have a few places but all over 45 miles away. Also, if you have all the supplies and just need one or two boards, then the cost is minimal if time is not a factor. If someone does not have the equipment, then ordering online is by far the cheapest route to take. 3 boards(1.5x.5 inch) cost less then it would cost you less then a big Mac meal. Before OSH Park, i learned how to make pcbs and I also had pretty good results with ink-jet. Ink-jets now are so much better now. But, as i have moved on to letting OSH Park do all my boards. Fairly cheap and about a 3 week turn around or less

It would look neat if it had some type of water feature. Put another piece of glass on the other side and for the legs incase the pump and return lines. You would need to move the legs out and incorporate end caps. Put a good epoxy seal on the wood. Put some rock features on the glass. And of course the bottom glass would need to be angled some to get the water to flow.

I make a K-thermocouple board for a Bbq controller and 3 of my boards cost $7.50 that includes shipping. They are smd parts and I have had no problems. It cost alot more if I were to make them at home. Of course, I do sale them for $30 each populated.
