Found this a while ago after I broke my first hammer trying to disassemble a pallet. With a good handle you can tear down a pallet in less than 5 minutes. I got a guy on craigslist to throw it together for me for $20. Has saved me hundreds of dollars in lumber!
Thanks for the idea to build my own version. Pretty much the same idea. Little extra steel bar in the corners of angle iron for more strength as after the first few boards the angle iron bent a bit
Anyone think of just cutting up an older trenching shovel, in case they cant weld for whatever reason. I could see it bending, but if ya think its to much just get out your pry bar for the tougher ones.
Simple yet practical. Cool idea
My angle iron is 33". Make sure that the PM doesn't block your view.
That looks great! How long did you cut the angle iron? Height looks perfect, would like to duplicate your design.
great it helps me! :)
Walk the Walk. I love this tool. I found, however, that I cracked several boards in removing them as the points of the angle-iron concentrated the power at one point in the board being removed. I made these little almost 'free-floating' extras ( from the same angle-iron) which spread the lifting power over a greater area. Hope you don't mind my copying your drawing as the basis of mine. I'm 80 yrs old and not very strong but I find your tool works brilliantly. I no longer get skinned knuckles as I used to with the hammer and chisel in doing this job.
Hope this comes a little larger diagram
It's a 17". It doesn't wiggle much at all.
What size monitor did you use? Does it wobble a lot when you're rowing? Your monitor mount is the best idea I can find online, looks great :)
