Intro: 2 Ingredient ICE CREAM Without an Ice Cream Maker!

This ice cream is simple...only 2 ingredients!
And no ice cream maker!

It's so creamy and delicious!
It's perfect alone or with any mix-ins you can think of!

It does take planning ahead though...

STEP 1: 2 Ingredients!

Here's what you need.

2 cups Whole Cream or Heavy Whipping cream (16 fl oz)
1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk (about 14 oz)

Blend together about 4 minutes until thick and creamy.

STEP 2: FREEZE!

Put in a container and freeze overnight.

STEP 3: Enjoy!

Serve it up!

Sidenote: I LOVE to eat with little Gerber baby spoons.

Now let your imagination run!
Add in some delicious mix-ins...or have an ice cream bar and let everyone mix in their own toppings!
Add fruit for a summer day...or add some hot fudge for a summer night!

Hope you TRY this out!
And vote for me in the FROZEN food contest!

Thanks!

I love it I like to add reeses pieces in it or fruit like strawberries or blueberries just add it in when you mix it up .Plus I use my blender faster and fluffier..love it .I hope to see more two ingredient recipes..ty

this is soooooo good i put in a tsp of vanilla extract for that regular ice cream taste..But it is so very good.. ty I put in freezer overnight instead of a hour or so.

mmm, this is probably so delicious! I have to try. and knock down only need with mixer or blender?

Hi, how long does this ice cream last in the freezer??

depends on the freezer, if you put it in my freezer, its already gone ;)

Mines been there for a few days, and it's still soft and easy to scoop. My guess is it will last until it's eaten...lol.

I was surprised that the recipe didn't call for ice, and a short blend, might freeze faster and help those who are somewhat allergic to sugar =P

Hi, to answer any questions as it may confirm you should mix it just before soft peaks otherwise it may for chunky butter :)

Can anyone please tell me the ratio of condensed milk to cream? I am Australian and use the metric system ;)

Any help appreciated x

500 ml whipping cream , and 300 ml sweetened condensed milk

You're welcome from Canada

I tried this receioe my. Mix started to turn yellow wheping the cream. Now it looks like chunks of butter in milk

that's because you whipped the cream to long and yes you made edible butter. Just rinse it in cold water, yes I mean cold water.add a pinch of salt and use it just like butter. Next time whip till soft peaks form when you lift the beaters

Are you sure you actually bought the heavy whipping cream and not whip cream, and sweetened condensed milk and not evaporated milk or something else.. or that you properly mixed it with the mixer, because i have made this recipe several times and it always mixes very well and is very rich and creamy.

I wanted to make a batch of ice cream for a dinner with many people, so i've decided to make this recipe. I used 3 L of cream, which I first whisked until the cream had the texture of a cake batter. I scratched out one vanilla bean into the cream, and gently folded in 2 cans of condensed milk in the end. So, I used only half the amount of condensed milk compared to the recipe but I would not recommend to use any more or it will be way too sweet! The ratio should be 500ml cream to 1/2 can conensed milk, then it tastes quite like regular ice cream.
Also in previous comments it was mentioned that this recipe is more expensive than just buying icecream at the supermarket. I agree but I must add to it that selfmade things are usually more expensive than stroe bought (think of bread, yogurt, jam etc). For me selfmade things are not about the price but about the "selfmade". But ya, with only two ingredients its also not really that much of selfmade here.
A quick and simple recipe. Good for making huge amounts.

Hi, yes i made this several times and I too found it too sweet and too rich. So, to cut down on the sweetness you recommend cutting down the sweetened condensed milk by half? Should i try 1 cup regular milk and 1 cup sweetened condensed milk imstead? Plus the regular amount of heavy whipping cream.
I made this and it is very, very, smooth and creamy and is very good, but it is just a little too rich and too sweet. The way the recipe is now, one can only eat a very small portion because it is so rich. I am going to try to cut down on the sweetness by perhaps using 1 cup of milk and only 1 cup of the heavy whipping cream, instead of the 2 cups of heavy whipping cream and see if that helps, or perhaps using half the sweetened condensed milk and substituting with milk for the other half. Also, do people know that you can make chocolate ice cream by buying the chocolate sweetened condensed milk? They sell it. Also, does anyone have any ideas of how to make this recipe less sweet and less rich? It is an almost perfect recipe though.

This looks like ice cream but contains about twice the sugar and it tastes unsurprisingly about twice as sweet. It tastes a little like a caramel flavoured ice cream. My 5 year old tried it on berries then proceeded to ask for the berries to be washed off and ate the berries plain. It was okay but I wouldn't make it again. The ingredients were more expensive than ice cream and the flavour was not ice creamy enough.
