  • 2 Ingredient ICE CREAM without an ice cream maker!

If you had to add sugar you did not use the right ingredients, because this recipe is OVER sweet as it is. It is very sweet and rich. Are you sure you used SWEETENED condensed milk and not evaporated milk? If you used evaporatef milk, you would have to add sugar, because it is not sweet. Also, you shouldnt have needed to add whip cream at all. Are you sure you used heavy whipping cream and not whip cream? They are very different. One is a Iiguid and real cream, while the other is whipped and may not be real cream, plus is sweet.

I made this and it is very, very, smooth and creamy and is very good, but it is just a little too rich and too sweet. The way the recipe is now, one can only eat a very small portion because it is so rich. I am going to try to cut down on the sweetness by perhaps using 1 cup of milk and only 1 cup of the heavy whipping cream, instead of the 2 cups of heavy whipping cream and see if that helps, or perhaps using half the sweetened condensed milk and substituting with milk for the other half. Also, do people know that you can make chocolate ice cream by buying the chocolate sweetened condensed milk? They sell it. Also, does anyone have any ideas of how to make this recipe less sweet and less rich? It is an almost perfect recipe though.

Are you sure you actually bought the heavy whipping cream and not whip cream, and sweetened condensed milk and not evaporated milk or something else.. or that you properly mixed it with the mixer, because i have made this recipe several times and it always mixes very well and is very rich and creamy.

Hi, yes i made this several times and I too found it too sweet and too rich. So, to cut down on the sweetness you recommend cutting down the sweetened condensed milk by half? Should i try 1 cup regular milk and 1 cup sweetened condensed milk imstead? Plus the regular amount of heavy whipping cream.
