Airsoft Mousetrap Claymore
Intro: Airsoft Mousetrap Claymore
This claymore is really inexpensive and not too complicated to build and will launch up to 50 BB's almost 30 feet. A real game changer in the world of airsoft.
STEP 1: Materials
1. Mousetrap
2. 1 large nail(appr. 2 in.)
3. 1 Medium Brad(1.5in.)
4. 2 small nails(1in.)
5. 10 in. 2-by-4
6. coathanger or similar wire
7. Duct tape
8. String
And the following tools:
1. Vise
2. Hammer
3. Pliers
4. Needle-nosed pliers
5. Wire cutters
6. Drill and bits
Now you're ready to build!!
STEP 2: Demolition
In order to use the mousetrap to its full potential, we must take off everything we don't need. Start with the trigger plate. Pry it off with the pliers and discard. Then take off the long arm, but keep it for later. You should end up with a stripped mousetrap and a bar.
STEP 3: Building the Base
STEP 4: Super Staples!!
STEP 5: Raising the Bar
STEP 6: Setting the Trap
Next we're going to put a nail to hold the bar down. Take your medium sized brad and nail it half way in on the "Victor" side next to the "V" parallel to the other nail. Then bend the brad slightly less than 90* away from the "V". You now should now be able to pull back the swing arm and put the bar across and under the nail to set the claymore.
STEP 7: Extensions
STEP 8: Center Pocket
STEP 9: Conclusion
Well, that's it. As you can see it's not too complicated and is easy to make. I have made three of them so I can set them around my base and not have to waste my battery or ammo. In that sense I might as well just sit around with a soda daring people to get me. But it really is a great and inexpensive claymore that works great.

*I know it's called corn, I just didn't want to imply canned or frozen corn.

1) I put an angle bracket so that when the trap's duct tape box slams down, the trap swing arm hits it so no ruined duct tape box.
2) I used a regular staple instead of a big nail for that part.
3) When using, make sure that the trip wire is at the end of the cross arm thing and that the cross arm metal thing is just at the lip of the bent nail. Sadly it takes a lot of force to pull out, so make that part as fragile as possible.
Other wise, i love it. Pics will be posted later.
