Intro: DIY Nail Through Finger Gag

This is a very funny prank that is sure to fool anyone. Simply slide on the bandage and watch as your friends gasp in horror! Great for April Fool's Day or any day you want to give your friends a good scare! Enjoy!

STEP 1: What You'll Need

A nail about 2 inches long

Scissors

Wire cutters

Thin cardboard ( the kind that cereal boxes consist of )

Gauze

Red dye or paint

Glue

Toothpick

STEP 2: The Nail and Cardboard

Cut the nail in half with wire cutters, then set aside.

Next cut a 1" thick strip of cardboard, roll it up and glue together.

CAUTION : The nail will be sharp so the point will need to be filed down.

STEP 3: Adding the Nail and Gauze

Take both halves of the nail and glue onto the cardboard. Make sure that the nail lines up with its other half.

Cut a piece of the gauze big enough to wrap around the cardboard, then glue it on. Holes may need to be punctured into the gauze so that the nail can go through.

Next trim off any overlapping gauze and glue the edges to the cardboard.

STEP 4: Finishing Touches

Next apply dye or paint onto the gauze where the nail enters. If you are using dye you can spread it out with a toothpick. You're done! All that's left is giving your friend a good scare!

my first thought was wait what? That a new one... Great job it looks deadly real from my view. One quick thing i suggest using bolt cutters instead of wire since the nails are heate treated for hardness.... Unless you cooked the nail in your oven or with a fire source, NO CANDLE WE NO LIKE CANDLES...
