Intro: Make Your Favorite Art Into a Poster for Cheap

This is a CHEAPER way to have your favorite ART hanging around your house. Why spend $60 or more on artwork that you can make yourself for almost FREE?

STEP 1: Find the Picture That You Want to Turn Into a POSTER

Find your favorite image or picture on the internet or in a magazine. Print it or cut it out!

STEP 2: Get All the Necessary TOOLS

Gather your needed tools before starting. You will need at the least, poster paper and a pencil or pen. We suggest you have pens, tape, a ruler, and something to color with, but its not necessary.

1. Roll of Poster Paper
2. Pencil
3. Liner Pens
4. Chalk and/or Pastels
5. OR your favorite water colors
6. A Picture of your Favorite Art
7. Tape
8. Ruler

STEP 3: Now You Can Begin Marking Up the Papers

Get your ruler and pencil and mark up your chosen image and poster paper. You can draw heavy lines on the chosen image but may want to only draw very light ones on the poster paper. If you want the new poster picture 3 times larger then draw 1" lines on the chosen image and 3" lines on the poster paper.

TIP: If you add ruler marks and lines at 1" in size all around your chosen picture it will help you to draw everything in proportion with your poster. After that you may want to draw 2-3" line marks, lightly, on your poster paper so the proportions will be correct with the smaller image and make your poster look beautiful.

If you are good at free handing then forget about this!

STEP 4: Now Begin Drawing

You can now begin drawing the image you love on a bigger size poster paper. You are on your way to having your favorite art drawn by you and hung up anywhere you want!

STEP 5: Begin Adding Your Color

Give a general description of the Step Once your drawing is all outlined and detailed exactly the way you want it, you can add color. For this particular drawing I used chalk and pastels.

You are a really good artist, but the site linked to kinda makes this all obsolete. Get a picture in JPEG format under a megabyte, through whatever means, and upload to that site. Run their program, convert it, and print. All free except the cost of paper/ink, and you can usually find those for free somewhere.
I am not sure about your policies, but there is a copyright issue(s) here... I think. Copying 'other' peoples art work is illegal! unethical. Just because the internet is there, does not mean you can do this.
if it's for personal reasons and ONLY Personal reasons, never resold, maybe it's okay. Be careful with this article, I find it very misleading. I hate to see innocent work done and have bad things happen.. mind you bad people do it on purpose, but sad to see. I find the mind has a lot to offer, just make your own creation, I bet it would be wonderful.
