Intro: How to Make a Simple Tomato Ketchup

Hi, this is a simple recipe to make a fermented ketchup .

Don't be trouble, the fermented food it's good for your health .

I want to teach you how to make this fantastic recipe,

and you'll never buy any more ketchup at the market.

You don't need to cook it, you need it just 5 simple ingredients and 10 minutes of your time.


YELD : 1 quart

Time: 10 minutes + 8 hours fermenting + 2 days refrigerate.

STEP 1: Ingredients:

3 cup tomato paste

2 tsp fine sea salt

1/8 cup Worcester Sauce Vegan version without anchovy

½ cup unfiltered apple vinegar

6 tsp unfiltered honey

¼ cup fermenting agent like ( water from pickle vegetables) or water kefir

STEP 2:

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl,

and mix until the salt and the honey are dissolved.

STEP 3:

Transfere to a jar.

STEP 4:

Secure with cheesecloth to the opening of the jar and allow to sit at room temperature for 8 hours or overnight.

STEP 5:

Remove the cheesecloth and secure an airtight lid.

Refrigerate for 2 days before using.

Use until 2 months

How does it taste? I’ve had some fermented homemade ketchup before, and didn’t quite like it, but it was a different recipe. I’d like to know how this recipe tastes.
Just saying Worcester sauce contains Anchovies ? So is not a vegan tomato sauce ?
Yes is true but i use the vegan version.. And the taste of this souse is really nice.. Maybe the tomorrow i post the recepie
