Intro: How to Make a Pedicab Trailer Hitch Using Car Steering Tie Rod

A steering tierod has a 360 x 60 degree range of movement and in a pedicab scenario, creates a very strong point of connection rated over 10,000 lbs of static resistance.   I couldn't find a lot of info about this so decided to share my experience of incorporating it into my pedicab trailer project.

Is there anyway you can post the instructions for this somewhere? I'd like to make it and am not a pro on instructable. Looks very useful and a good project.

Yes, but I find 60 degrees of vertical movement to be more than sufficient.
Are you not concerned about the vertical movement? (when your bike hits a bump before the trailer does).
