  • Empty used coke bottle with a lid.
  • Old newspapers
  • Fevicol
  • Acrylic Colours

Take an empty cardboard round box can be a cookie box or any round cardboard with a lid. cut the same from the centre in a rectangle shape. Then take an empty coke bottle and cut this also in a rectangle shape as featured in the picture. Make sure the lid is tightly closed.Insert the bottle into the box and close the lid.

Then take some old newspapers . Tear the same into small pieces and soak it in water for an hour. Squeeze the water and add fevicol to it. Make sure its not watery . Basically paper mashe.

Start pasting the crumbled and mashed newspaper bits onto the cardboard boxes. Once it is totally covered let it dry for a day or two in sunlight.

Once it is totally dried it will become pretty hard. Then u can give it a colour with acrylic. paints and again let it dry.

Lastly put some sand thru the rectangular hole in the coke bottle and plant a small plant. Hang it in your balcony and see the plant growing. U can hang it vertically or horizontally

These are really fun. And the planter is biodegradable. So you can just plant the whole thing in the ground if you decide to transplant it.

Especially the Fevicol and the acrylic paint...
