Intro: Micro 555 BEAM Robot
The B.E.A.M robot concept was coined by Mark Tilden which inspired me to build this robot.
This robot is based on a circuit design created by Manfred Schaffran.
I've simply shrunk it down as small as I can to create this little B.E.A.M robot.
It's self sufficient and light seeking, so it can be left to it's own adventures.

STEP 3: How It Works
The solar cell charges the caps and the power turns on one of the 555's motors depending on what photodiode has the most light on it, effectively making the robot light seeking!

Could please make a video of this!
I believe if you wanted a racer version of this you could do this in the picture. It will still follow light but it is always on. You could aslo replace the LDR's with phototransistors
