Intro: One Step Trick - the Tilde Button in Illustrator CS and Above

This cool trick will blow your mind, because not only is the outcome truly awesome, sketchy and abstract equally but also very easy to achieve.

You can make great wallpapers, backgrounds and textures with simple and a ONE KEYBOARD BUTTON trick!

STEP 1: There's Only One Step! Literally!

All you do is to select a shape or a type of line from the shape tool or line tool, respectively, located in the tool bar. Then before making the shape on to your document, you press the TILDE (~) button on your keyboard and keep it pressed. Now draw your shape on the document and move your cursor in different directions. See what happens!

Things to note:

1) Make sure your fill is set to none and your outline or stroke of the shape or line is colored.

2) You can only use this trick with the shapes and lines available in the tool bar

Just choose all the different shapes and lines available to you and experiment with this amazing technique!

I will be starting my blog soon and give you the link. It will have more detailed tutorials and different ways to use such techniques.

What program are you using? I don't understand what you are talking about. This doesn't make sense at all. Please explain better.
