Intro: PVC Pipe Figures

Eu tinha muitos canos de PVC sobrando aqui em casa e então decidi construir alguns brinquedos para as crianças com esse material.

A idéia básica era conseguir criar um mini zoo com os canos, usando apenas cortes de serra ou dremel.

I had many PVC pipes left here at home and then decided to build some toys for the children with this material.
The basic idea was to create a mini zoo with the pipes, using only saw cuts or dremel.

STEP 1: Desenhe No Cano

Fiz alguns estudos no próprio cano de PVC, usando um marcador permanente. Basicamente eu marquei os lugares onde poderia fazer os cortes ou furos. Nos primeiros brinquedos, como o peixe, fiz apenas alguns cortes e o brinquedo já estava pronto.

Nas versões mais avançadas, como o Gato e o Polvo, usei o soprador térmico para entortar o cano e deixá-lo na posição pretendida.

I did some studies on the same PVC pipe, using a permanent marker. Basically I marked the places where it could make cuts or holes. In the first toys, such as fish, I did a few cuts and the toy was ready.
In more advanced versions, such as the Cat and the Octopus, I used the heat gun to bend the pipe and leave it in the desired position.

STEP 2: Corte Corte Corte • Dremel Cuts

Depois eu usei muita dremel para cortar as partes que não eram necessárias.

Além dos modelos acima, eu ainda fiz um homem, um dragão e um jacaré.

Nós temos usado alguns desses bichos como trechos na nossa pista de bolinhas de gude, também feita de canos de PVC.

Then I used a lot of dremel to cut the parts that were not necessary.
Besides the above models, I still made a man, a dragon and an alligator.

We have used some of these animals as excerpts on our track marbles.

STEP 3: Diagramas De Exemplo - Example Diagrams

Embora não seja essa a maneira como eu vou criando os animais, resolvi anexar alguns diagramas de corte para facilitar a vida de quem gostaria de fazer os brinquedos.

Normalmente eu desenho diretamente no tubo de PVC, imaginando as dobras e cortes. Depois uso a Dremel e o soprador térmico para fazer os cortes e dobras, respectivamente.

While it is not the way I'm going to create the animals, I decided to attach some cutting diagrams to make life easier for those who would like to make the toys.

Normally I draw directly on PVC pipe, imagining the folds and cuts. Then use the Dremel and the heat gun to make the cuts and folds, respectively.

Um macaco, um dragão (um tanto mais complexo que os outros).

How can I get patterns for your giraffe elephant and other animals you cut out

great work! thanks for sharing. how do you bend the pipe? e.g., to make the hands, feet, ears etc?

When I started making toys, I just bent the pipe cold.Then I bought a heat gun. It was easier to create other movements in animals.
