Intro: Revamp a T Shirt With Puff Paint

My family and I have been experimenting around with knit t-shirts and decided to try giving them a lift with puff paints and a   stencil.  This instructable is quick and easy to do requiring very little supplies.

STEP 1: Supplies

T shirt
Stencil
Puff Paint  we used one puff and one regular
Cardboard for protecting surface

STEP 2: Before Painting

Here is what the shirt looked like before we painted it.

STEP 3: Prep Work

We took a similar piece of fabric and painted the scrap to get an idea of what to expect.
If using a new t-shirt the paint instructions recommends washing and drying before applying the paint.
Then we painted the shirt.

STEP 4: Positioning Stencil

Position the stencil where you want it.
Holding the stencil in place begin painting inside the stencil.
Lift the stencil off very carefully as not to smudge the painted shirt.
Allow to dry 4 hours.

STEP 5: Finishing Touches

After painting the stencil we added our own little touches.

STEP 6: Sunshiine's Final Thoughts

I have an appreciation for puff paints that I did not have before.  We both loved this shirt.  I am making more of these in the future for my family and friends.
Thank you for stopping by and please do have a Happy Fourth Of July!
