This is my 3rd batch and as you can see the lift is higher. In this batch I added an extra egg ( I whipped the egg yolks and whites separately) and added them to the dough and by doing so, I needed to add more flour bit by bit until the batter had the right consistency. When I make it again, I will try instant yeast and use the autolyse method and see what happens~ I love to experiment with food. The flavor is the best part of these rolls and that was what was most important to me. Older people lose their sense of taste and smell so things just don't taste quite as good as they might remember. My brother will be receiving more rolls because I will be tweaking this recipe several times more. I am up for the challenge to make him what he remembers when he was a child. Recipe development ta…

Hello taimysha, Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting and sharing a picture of your project, what a clever idea for a comb! I will make one the next time I need to card wool! I had planned on making a wool blanket from my project and did give felting a try but was not satisfied with the results. Since then we have had too much going on to give it another go. I hope to be all settled by next winter and will have a lot more room to work on a blanket. I will certainly make an instructables about the process when I make it. Thanks again and do have a safe and happy New year! sunshiine~

There are so many different factors in determining what might cause this in my opinion. I am sure the company will assist you. Hey Caitlin27, That is a very good question and thanks for asking. The mixture and balloons should be made shortly before serving. The balloons should be filled with air and served immediately. I would suggest making these until you get the hang of it before . . . . any special event. I had to make several batches because I did not have a fool proof recipe and had to make adjustments over a couple of days with about the same weather conditions, with that said, different weather conditions. may make a difference in how long the balloons will stay inflated but I am not sure. I do not recommend making these in advance because the balloons do begin to dry out which could cause them to shatter even though they look fine. They seemed to hold up and were pliable for two to three hours after fil…

I often use straight vinegar and let it soak for a while. Baked on grease is hard especially on baking dishes and pans. You might give Dr Bronners a try, I used it straight on the refrigerator a while back that had some type of residue left from a message board I had stuck to the fridge. I tried a lot of things and the Dr Bronners liquid soap did a great job. If I think of something else I will leave a comment~ Have a safe and happy spring~sunshiine~

Hi Bonkelray, You might try white vinegar. I use it for my pots and pans when there is baked on food and give them time to soak. If plain vinegar won't cut it add some dish soap to the mixture and try it again. A tooth brush or non scratch pad might be useful. If all else fails I might be tempted to use oven cleaner depending on the type of surface. Hope this helps~sunshiine~

Thank-you! Oh how I wished I had paid more attention in science class! I was very tempted to bake a loaf rather than biscuits and spray the oven but decided to avoid making too many changes in the early stages of development. I am fairly sure a person could achieve good results baking a larger batch and spraying the oven, although extra egg whites might be needed. I was tempted to add a little water to the mixture in my last batch but decided not to. If you look at the tops of the first batches I made, you will notice the tops are smoother although the rise was not sufficient. That is why I decided to use a large muffin tin, thinking that the pan would provide walls to support a higher rise and add egg whites to increase the rise. The tops of the first batch were smoother because I rolled…

Hi Sue,I was surprised how much research was required to develop a recipe with (yes) ingredients. Not to mention understanding how imitation flours like almond flour will react to wild yeast. I appreciate your suggestions for alternative flours I might try. I will probably have to order the ones you suggested because stores here have a limited variety to choose from. This journey has been a very challenging one! The brain octane oil is processed differently than the organic coconut oil; which makes it taste better.Perhaps they use the same process (idea) as the coffee to remove or reduce toxins?. The grass fed cows butter has more nutrients and the chlorophyll makes the butter very yellow, I am guessing the butter has a lot more natural vitamin D.The organic butter sold in America is nothing compared to what I tasted as a child. The butter I remember had way more flavor and of course- a brighter yellow color, even more than the red feather brand. Maybe I was tasting raw butter, I don't know. This coffee is pretty amazing.I have never liked coffee and after tasting this coffee I actually liked the flavor. We ran into 4 people around town at different times and places; who have mentioned they go t…
