Intro: Roasted Garbanzo Beans

An easy, healthy treat to make. Little preparation makes this snack a favorite!

STEP 1: Preparation

Turn your oven on to 'broil' and pull out your ingredients: a can of garbanzo beans, olive oil, salt, and seasoning of your choice.

STEP 2:

Drain and rinse one can of garbanzo beans.

STEP 3:

Arrange rinsed beans on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle evenly with olive oil.

STEP 4:

Place cookie sheet in oven to roast for 20-35 minutes, depending on your preferred level of crispiness.

STEP 5:

After the beans are roasted, season them with seasonings of your choice: salt, garlic salt, red pepper flakes, cilantro, etc. The possibilities are endless!

STEP 6:

Enjoy your roasted garbanzo beans as a snack on-the-go or as a side dish.

This is great! Although, for anyone who has a gas oven like I do, I would suggest broiling them for around 15-20 minutes instead of 20-35, as gas ovens cook faster. I accidentally burnt my first batch, even when I checked it every few minutes.
That is perfect :) thank you for sharing
These look great.. .but did I miss a step? Broil for 25 minutes? or do you turn it down at some point.
Just an idea, instead of putting the oil on after they are on the pan, I think I will try putting the beans in a bag with the oil and shake to coat before putting them on the pan.
What a yummy idea! Can't wait to try this!
This looks delicious! What would you say creole seasoning tastes like? Is it fishy, is it salty?
These look wonderful! Just in time for holiday parties too. Would they go well with toasted mixed nuts, I wonder?
Roasted ceci, Awesome. Thinking peanut substitute ground with olive oil to put on a sandwich with jelly.
those sound really good AND good for you
Love these! I normally do curry powder, but creole seasoning sounds fantastic. :D
