Intro: Segway Ikea Hack

How to make a sitway in an hour

STEP 1: Cut 2 Pieces 18” Length

Then mark two points for drilling 10” apart

STEP 2: Drill

Use a 4/5” drill to make 2 holes halfway through each member

STEP 3: Cut a Smooth Curve

This is optional, but I like to have the look of a rocking chair at the front

STEP 4: Mount

Simply enter each leg of the stool into the holes, and you are done.

There is tension to be compressed, which will also keep the wood to cling to the legs when lifted

STEP 5: Ride

Switch on the Segway and install the stool with the front legs at the front edge so you can reach the steering lever between your legs, and be seated

My grandchildren had a lot of fun with my segway, and now I can ride too.
Very satisfactory even in my slow tempo.
