Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme - Copycat Recipe
Intro: Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme - Copycat Recipe
As a college student, fast food is my Achilles heel. When I'm cramming for a test or staying up all night writing a research paper, Taco Bell has been one of my best friends. Wanting to start saving money and eat healthier, this Crunchwrap Supreme copycat recipe was born.
STEP 1: Cook Ground Beef
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 3/4 Cup Water
- 1-1/2 Teaspoons Seasoned Salt
- 1-1/2 Teaspoons Dried Oregano
- 1-1/2 Teaspoons Ground Cumin
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Directions:
- Brown meat in a large skillet on medium heat, drain fat
- Add 3/4 cup water
- Mix in seasonings
- Bring to boil for 5 minutes stirring occasionally
- Reduce heat
STEP 2: Prep Ingredients
For the copycat recipe you will need the following:
- Ground Beef (see previous step)
- Queso (nacho cheese sauce)
- Shredded Cheese
- Shredded Lettuce
- Diced Tomatoes
- Sour Cream
If you'd like to add other ingredients not contained in the original Crunchwrap Supreme, the following make excellent additions:
- Refried Beans
- Black Beans
- Olives
- Rice
- Corn
- Avocados
- Guacamole
- Diced Onions
- Pico de Gallo
STEP 3: Tortillas and Tostadas
For the Crunchwrap Supreme, you will need to purchase or make the largest flour tortillas possible.
You can purchase or make your own tostada shells. To make your own, brush both sides of a corn tortilla with vegetable oil, bake on a cookie sheet for 3-5 minutes at 400°F.
STEP 4: Tortilla
Warm the tortilla in a skillet.
STEP 5: Ground Beef
Add ground beef.
STEP 6: Queso
Add queso (nacho cheese sauce) over ground beef.
STEP 7: Tostada Shell
Add tostada shell.
STEP 8: Cheese
Add shredded cheese.
STEP 9: Lettuce
Add shredded lettuce.
STEP 10: Tomatoes
Add diced tomatoes.
STEP 11: Sour Cream
Spoon sour cream.
STEP 12: Fold and Brown Crunchwrap
Starting on one edge, slowly fold the edges around to the center.
Throughout the previous steps, you will have successfully heated the bottom side of the Crunchwrap.
Flip Crunchwrap and brown the top.
STEP 13: Enjoy!
Now enjoy your finished copycat Crunchwrap Supreme. This is a more healthy and less expensive alternative to stopping by the local Taco Bell.

It looks great and all but you've modified the Taco Bell version quite a bit by using actual, real beef. Not very authentic. ;7)
I'm trying your version for the kids this weekend.

I tried to find the fake beef at the store, but Taco Bell must have monopoly on the supplier. :) Let me know how yours turn out!

Yeah this looks incredible, but I'm gonna have to stop by a Taco Bell for the fountain Big Red at least.

That's a funny way to say Baja Blast.

Rollin through a Taco Bell at 2:30 in the morning affords you special opportunities. Like free Baja Blasts because they are slow.... maybe something to do with them working at a Taco Bell at night lol

Maaaan, none of our Taco Bells are open that late. 12 or 1 at the most if we're lucky.
