Intro: The SSPP ( Short Stroke Power Pistol)

I was fed up with the knex pistols that would break the ram if you put on too many elastics.
So i decided to fix that problem. The answer was this. I have had no problem with two much power on this gun ( I have put 6 elastic bands on without it breaking.)
The gun has a 8 shot mag and a 80 feet range with three bands on it.
As a bonus this is one of the smallest pistols on instructables that has a decent range.
Just ask if you have any problems.
Some people don't believe that I got 80 feet with this gun. I really did I used raly strong bands

1-2. The Pistol

5-6. close up on the handle\ barrel\ body
7-8. The trigger.
9. The ram.

STEP 2: Making the Gun.

Just follow the pics.

STEP 3: Adding the Elastics.

1. Put the elastics on the rod with the gears and spacers and stretch back to the orange connector on the ram
2. How far back the ram goes

This does NOT get 80 feet with 3 #64's.  The trigger is up the gun too far and its got mag friction on it.  Maybe 50 feet at most.

Other than that, You did a decent job, the only flaws were what I mentioned above.

I dint say it got 80 feet with 3 #64's. i dont have any # 64's I only have elastics that are about double the size of the broccoli elastics. They're really strong.
It got 80 feet on average against the wind with 3 of the elastics i have. as for the mag friction just use a really thin elastic.

The trigger is too far up the gun to shoot 80 feet with 3 bands, no matter what type they are.

I honestly got 80 feet with 3 elastics. The elastics are huge, they're 1cm wide and about 5cm long. I had them doubled back.
I don't really care if you don't believe me, I know that I got 80 feet.

Was this at a 45 degree angle?  Or flat?  If it was angled it would be SORT OF believable.

You could get 80 feet easily with ONE of these bands. Though it would break the gun

I got it with a pair of snowshoes, it was used to hold them together

It was almost a 45 degree angle.

When i test fired it i shot it at a 45 degree angle and got 75, 86, 72 and 81 feet  so i rounded it off to 80 feet

The reason it can handle a lot of rubberbands is because it has a tiny drawback. That decreases power. But, it's cute. So, *3.

The power doesnt decrease porpotianlaly I got a farther range with this than i did with one of my other gun that had a full drawback.

MeZak has a full drawback and it can handle 7 bands easily.

I'm still confused as to how this design makes it go farther. It doesn't have much pin draw.

Also, it looks like I could snap it right in half.
