Candies that are made using melted sugar and colouring as well as flavoring. The melted sugar is coloured and flavoured before rolling it into variety of candy shapes.
A shame because watching it took me back to my childhood.
I used to stand looking through the window of the Rock Shop in Ramsgate (England) watching people do just this sort of thing making all the seaside sticks of rock and other sweeties for the holiday makers to enjoy and take home as gifts.
