Intro: Can Clock Project From an Expensive Designer's Item...

I've been looking at this clock for a while and I decided I could do it by myself....this is a present for my sister in law....

this is a clock made by a designer I can't afford and which is very hard to found today in its original form....try....

I should classify this instructable in the ikea or designers hacks.....

STEP 1: Easy to Find Parts.....

go to the local supermarket and get a nice can (mine contained canellonis....), keep the opening ring to make the suspension system....

then find a cook whip and a hook to hang the whip (this can be easily replaced by a piece of wire...)

you will also need a clock mechanism and a few nuts and bolts.....

STEP 2: Drill and Assemble...

I will just show the suspension ring made of the opening ring of the food can and its fastening....

you can also see the hook that holds the whip under the can...it is screwed in a piece of cork inside the can...

STEP 3: Nail It Into Your Kitchen's Wall!!

nice piece of design, isn't it?

hope this will make a nice Christmas present...

what do you think?

Really cool clock. I wonder if there might be a way to have the whisk move with the clock movements. Really neat instructable.

you can buy such clock mechanisms on aliexpress but i wonder if they can take such big weights as their pendulums for movement

innovative reuse and nice clock!

this clock mechanism is of the cheapest form, It would look much better with a higher quality one.....
Cool clock!
