Introduction: Chocolate Toffee Cookies

This is probably my favorite cookie recipe. These cookies have a great chocolatey taste and the toffee gives them some extra flavor and texture. Always a crowd pleaser!

This recipe makes three trays of cookies.

Step 1: What You Need

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

1 cup butter
2 1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tbl. rum
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/4 cup flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chocolate-covered toffee bits

Step 2: Wet Ingredients

Cream the butter and sugar then mix in the eggs, vanilla, and rum.

Step 3: Dry Ingredients

Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 4: Put It Together

Combine the dry ingredient mixture with the wet ingredients. Then mix in the chocolate chips and the chocolate-covered toffee.

Step 5: Scoop and Bake

Lay parchment paper on the baking sheets and scoop out balls of cookie dough that are about an inch in diameter.

Put the cookies in the oven for 9-11 minutes.
