Introduction: Easy Smart Clap Lamp

About: Electronic Design

This is a very lovely study clap lamp that you can build as a beginner or just for fun or as a gift.

Since its quite simple, I wont go much into details to spare you the boring stuffs.

The code you need, the STL 3D print files will all be attached for you to get straight to work and build this beauty.

If you find yourself stuck in anyway, you can always reach out to me for assistance.

I will also attach a video summary of full assembling as a guide just in case you have need of or learn faster watching videos.

Now lets get to business fast....

Supplies

To build this easy Smart Clap lamp, you will need the following;

1. Arduino nano

2. Sound sensor

3. 3D printer

4. 220V to 5V power supply (phone chargers)

5. Relay

6. Light bulb (your choice)

Step 1: Schematic

The schematic is quite simple.

The diagram don't explain it well enough so I will elaborate it here simply.

Connect you Relay pin to Arduino Nano PIN (D10)

Connect you Sound sensor pin to PIN (D5)

That's it you ready to move to next stage

Connect it all together and test!!

NB: you can change the location of the PINs if you want, just update it in the code to reflect the change and it won’t be a problem at all.

NB: connect the positive 110-240V PSU in to the relay to the bulb, if you u doubt please ask for sketche

NB: WORKING WITH HIGH VOLTAGE CAN BE DANGEROUS, PLEASE SEEK ADVICE IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT TO AVOID BEEN ELECTROCUTED AND MISSING CHRISTMASS THIS YEAR.

Step 2: 3D Files

Here you have your 3D printed lamp parts to assemble.

Just snap it part in and it fits perfectly and tight enough, you don't need glue to hold it in place.

Few low quality printers may print low quality and in that case you might need to glue the parts if necessary.

All files will be uploaded at end of this write up.

Step 3: Assembling

Take your time to arrange all components to fit in perfectly to avoid the bottom of the base from not having the clearance to sit perfectly.

Cover the bottom part of the Lamp with a cut out plastic cover or card and glue to hold..

as you can see,

1. Pass the bulb cable through to the base

2. That means the lamp holder should be in place nicely

3. Solder all cables nicely and cable tire it to be in nice positions

4. Use hot glue if necceaasy to hold the PCB boards to the base if necessary

Now you almost done!!!! lets finish up

Step 4: Beauty Is Set

Here you are done and dusted with this beauty.

Time to study and snap your finger for a light.... hehehe

Step 5: Final Files

All files attached now.
