After reading this LED tutorial, you'll be able to easily install Oznium's Prewired 12V Color Changing RGB LEDs

These small 12V 5mm LEDs pack an incredible punch of light, and effortlessly cycle / fade through multiple colors without the need for an RGB Controller.

Also, with polarity protection and a built in resistor on board, these RGB Color Changing LED Lights are truly a plug-and-play lighting solution right out of the box! Simply plug the positive and negative terminals to any 12V source, and your LED project is DONE.

Step 1: Bundling the RGB Color Changing LEDs Together

Start by bundling desired amount of LEDs together and slightly fan / spread them apart, so the viewing angles spread properly across your project. Once bundled, secure them together with some electrical tape to secure them how you wish.

You can always test the angles once they're inside your project (before permanently mounting them) and move them / spread and secure them in any way that suits your project.

Since I chose to mount the 3 RGB Color Changing LEDs into a Salt Crystal Lamp that had a tube like chamber and previously used incandescent lighting; I chose to mount them on a wooden brace and fan them out only slightly to fully fill the full crystal lamp with a brilliant cast of light.

Step 2: Mount the LEDs to the Brace / Medium - Strip the Ends and Twist Them Together

Step 3: Connect the 12V Power Source to the LEDs, Mount the LEDs Inside Your Project

Whichever 12V Source you use, be it a 12V battery, or 12V Power Adapter, connect the wires to your two positive (red) and negative / ground (black) wire bundles.

Temporarily protect the wire bundles with electrical tape and power up your power source / AC adapter to make sure you've connected the wires correctly.

NOTE: If the LEDs do not light up, it's OK. These RGB LEDs from Oznium are reverse polarity protected. Just switch the wires, re-tape to protect them from shorting on each other, and the LEDs should light up without issue.

Also, no need for resistors, these RGB Automatic Color Fading LEDs include resistors right in the low-profile heatshrink of the LED 's wire, connected in-line.

Once you've tested and made sure the LEDs are connected properly, use either wire caps and electrical tape, or solder the wire ends to secure them, and then electrical tape over them to protect them from elements or crossing each other.

Now, mount your LEDs inside whatever you're mounting them into, in my case, a Salt Crystal Lamp (as pictured)

Step 4: You're Done! Light Up Your RGB Color Changing LEDs

You're finished! Your Automatic RGB Color Changing LED Lamp is now setup. The LEDs are plug-and-play and will fade through multiple colors without the need for any controller.

It will effortlessly fade through a myriad of vibrant colors, and surpass your expectations for any LED accent lighting project. As with all of our products, Oznium offers a 1 year hassle-free warranty with all of our products.

Enjoy, and go green with LED Lighting!
