Can I be held liable if someone injures themselves as a result of trying to duplicate my project ?

Example: I post a project of mine that explains an improved way to inflate water bottle rockets with co2 cartridges and the specific parts they will need and can get from their local hardware store.Someone then follows my instructions and is injured as a result of not following instructions, not taking the proper safety precautions,or just an unforeseen potential for injury that was overlooked by myself.

Question? Can I be held legally responsible for this injury as I was the one who posted the project in question?

I believe your problem can be solved by a disclaimer. I always make sure to put a dislaimer in my instructables.

Oddly this has been asked before - The general feeling seems to be that provided your not suggesting people undertake hidden risks then it is up to the individual to take normal care - A I am not responsible and or list of potential risk areas can't hurt either at least you did your best to minimise potential issues.

HOWEVER none of this means anything unless tested in court :-)

PS I am not a lawyer.
