Hydraulic pressure and flow.?

If Volts = pressure of water in a pipe, Amps is the speed the water travels at. Unmistakeably clear and accurate analogy.

Volts is pressure and Amps is flowrate. Capacitance is a tank with the inlet/outlet pipe at the bottom. As the external pressure pushes water in, the water level and hence the Voltage rises. Inductance is a bit harder to simulate with a water system. The inertia of water flowing in a pipe is a few orders of magnitude lower than is required to be analogous to the real thing. Sorry.

More accurately, amps is analogous to the flow rate (gpm or lpm).
