Is there a pure knex gun i.e pistol, rifle, crossbow?

I'm looking for a pure, yes pure knex weapon. 100%. I heard that someone made one but I didnt understand the mech so I need pictures. If you show me how to make it and it is good I would be grateful, spread the word of giving it 5* winning a contest and so on. Just post images or instructables. THE RACE IS ON! If you can make one faster than me I will give full credit.
I made one but its very weak, it works as if the tension from pulling a connector back shoots forward. Ty for the knex catapaults but i need guns like pistols instead of those catapaults and such.

mepains X-bow can use chain and also mepains semi-auto d-construction revolver can be pure if you revolve it yourself. also you can just clip a connector onto a rod (blue clips or tan clips work best) then push the 2 tabs and it will go about 10 feet, i had an idea for making that use a trigger but i am not sure it will work.

here is one, take a silver (3d) connector and put it on a white rod, then add 2 orange connectors clipped on to the white rod (this is the handle/body) pull on the silver connector and it will fire the silver connector a good 5 feet. or you can use mepain's deconstruction revolver and revolve it yourself.

Just make an X-bow with chain instead of string.

*blinks as if really confused* could you give a picture. It has to shoot forgot to add that.

Build mepains Crossbow, and then replace the string with Knex chain.

IT HAS TO SHOOT!!!

Mepains crossbow?
knex_mepalm (author) in reply to I_am_CanadianJul 25, 2009. 5:59 AM
I found out that it does shoot, but it works via the tension from the -------- at the end and when you pull the chain back it holds the tension...correct? But still it screws up because the chain breaks
I_am_Canadian in reply to knex_mepalmJul 26, 2009. 10:58 AM
It shouldent, and anyways, its not even ment to be used like that, if you designed a crossbow around a chain string I am sure it would work.
knex_mepalm (author) in reply to I_am_CanadianJul 27, 2009. 4:37 AM
ok i will *attempt* a crossbow which uses a chain, once i get some more chain bits and lots more pieces.

Mkay.

Yes, with the chain

Ok, everyone who has posted here, please note that I am going to change the Topic because we have "discovered" some weapons pure weapons made of knex, but I now will change the topic so it will be "knex gun" so no catapaults because I forgot that they rotate on an axle and use weight to hurl, Etc. IM not being mean. trying to find a gun like pistol or such that doesn't run on bands

My nephew made one in '08, look it up on my instructions.
bounty1012 says: Jul 8, 2009. 8:42 AM
I found a new one! you dont need the rubber band on the trigger!

Ive seen one before, it was a pistol that pulled back the ram when you pulled back the trigger, then it fired a shot. I believe its still here on instructables.
stale56 in reply to bounty1012Jul 1, 2009. 1:19 PM
I think that one needs a rubberband because when you pulled the trigger, the ram would pull back, and then when you pulled the trigger farther back, then it would release the ram, and then when you release the trigger, it would go back by the ram... Assuming we are talking about the same gun...
bounty1012 in reply to stale56Jul 1, 2009. 6:32 PM
actually, the gun had no rubberband, but then again, I could be wrong...
DJ Radio in reply to bounty1012Jul 8, 2009. 7:15 AM
You are. That was a true semi auto mech, and it does need a rubberband.
DJ Radio says: Jul 7, 2009. 1:19 PM
I heard there was one around, but I havent seen it yet. Anyways, I would go and try making some hammer mech that would hit the round. Of course, the power would then be related to how strong you are, so it would vary a lot.
knex_mepalm (author) in reply to DJ RadioJul 8, 2009. 4:17 AM
replied to the wrong guy....could you build it and show me with a good instrutable? running out of bands
DJ Radio in reply to knex_mepalmJul 8, 2009. 7:13 AM
I told you that I dont know if it exists, my first statement was rumor based only. Darthvader claimed he made another one, but he forgot the mech before he posted it.
knex_mepalm (author) in reply to DJ RadioJul 8, 2009. 4:16 AM
Good, just post some picts and i'll give you best answer, could you give me an instructable? I'm running out of #64s
Lowney says: Jun 26, 2009. 3:34 PM
Isn't that like, impossible? What would be used for the power?
knex_mepalm (author) in reply to LowneyJul 8, 2009. 4:19 AM
Tension, your own strength, etc. My kick is really powerful so if you could make a cannon that would not hurt my foot, that'd be nice
geodez in reply to LowneyJul 3, 2009. 10:27 AM
mepains crossbow is the only true crossbow, it uses bending arms instead of rubberband tension to fire.
