Are you putting something in the rice cooker to set the balls on?
They appear to be sitting higher in your cooker than mine would.
I can't see pouring water around them to steam them with them sitting on the bottom.
Great idea.

Any reason not to bake these? Why did you decide to steam them?

Rice cookers are allowed in dorm rooms... wanted to give students a new option. We tried baking half, but the steamed buns were far better.
