Wow. Such wisdom. Such amazing. So impress. Plz no.
How to Make a Very Powerful Lego Crossbow
It was because of it being flimsy and some of the pieces in the stock didn't fit together well.
I can't say if I'll post full instructions and enter it in the contest or not, but I'll definitely post at least a slideshow and internals soon.
I look forward to it!
It doesn't shoot as well as I would have liked, maybe 30-40 feet, but it works.More pictures and maybe an instructable on it later.
Looks good, but not a revolver.
This could be built from the pictures pretty easily. With K'nex, there are only a handful of connections, and you can guess until you get it right.
It's right in front of the fake magazine. If you look under the "pin and use" step 5, you can see how the magazine is loaded.
Hmmmm, I might actually try to build something.
We'll just have to see how it turns out.
100 feet flat is quite the performance, even with fin ammo.I've seen it with the TR8 before, so I know it's possible. As for ammo, rods seldom go past 70 feet, though a blue clip and green rod snapped together might be able to get quite a bit more then that.Good luck on finishing your entry up!
Been working on one already!
But the year old comment was still bringing up a dead thread. ;)No offence intended, my point was that the person that posted the thread is probably in his 20's now and doesn't remember the thread at all.
This topic is nine years old...
The Betrayed Ghost
Thanks for the credit, I just noticed your PM. The gun looks great. Both good guns. :D
I'm with GWorks.
Acid/Brass/Stone Washing A Knife
Actually, the mech is a lot closer to Seleziona's Skorpion v2 then the BSW. The Skorpion mech is much superior to the BSW in that it actually works and doesn't explode with a couple of size #32 bands.I really, really like how this replica turned out though, it's a lot cleaner then the few guns that use gear+blue rod much. And I definitely believe the 40 range; the mech shoots much harder then it looks like. You seem to be very good at building pistols, and you got a sub from me.

Shortcuts for Friction Fire
Or you could just break the twig. I do like the peeler though, looks like it does a good job.
You should add "Because crooked Clinton came to power" after "Most American's don't have guns."Just sayin'.
A thicker anti-spalling coat would be a good idea, but other then that, great work!
I like it! Thumbs up from me.
Well, the basic shape of the broadhead would be cast, and it could be filed and sawed into more unique designs. Aluminum is a very soft metal so hand tools should be able to work it well. By impressive, I was referring more to larger size and shape then to some kind of crazy intricate design.I'll have to try it to be sure.Best of luck to you in the contest!
Also, are all your instructables featured?
I voted and favorited. I mostly use mild steel for broadheads, as it it much easier to shape with a hacksaw. But this method should result in a much more durable point. Also, for a pointier tip and a cleaner edge, a belt sander does an very good job.Lately I've been thinking about making arrow points from cast aluminum that has been shaped with a file. It would not be durable, but the points could be shaped into impressive designs and not be too heavy.
As a warning, AM is not a black powder substitute. You load the same amount of it as black powder, and you'll blow you gun and parts of you face to bits. Even in it's impure match mix form, less the 1/16 of a tablespoon can shoot a piece of nail almost 1/2 inch into a pine board from a mini cannon.
Be careful packing the mix in a barrel too. I've had it go off from a ramrod before. It ripped up one finger, burnt two, and the third had unburnt powder stuck in it for months. That being said, if you want a better quality mixture, do smaller batches and do a 50/50 ratio by volume.
Not sure this should be featured, but nice build all the same.
Yeah, it's kind of odd, if you ask me.
DR. R is still right about the body being weak, even with the rubber band. You can see in the picture that the barrel is bending in the middle, and it would be worse if it was not supported by the floor.Build this https://www.instructables.com/id/K-NEX-GUN/ and you will se what a sturdy gun is like. It's nice to see people that are posting though.
Waste of time and parts
It actually looks pretty cool. For a accurate and reasonably powerful hammer pistol, this works well.https://www.instructables.com/id/Knex-Hammer-Gun-1/And yes, I just shamelessly spammed your post with a link to a gun I did not design and is three years old. LOL.
Set of Broadheads Made From an Old Saw Blade
Hey man, I'm glad you find the part list helpful! It takes a long time to count up the pieces, but it makes it much easier to build the project later.
Very cool! It's awsome that you are posting again.
I like the grip. :D
It puts a backspin on the ammo so that it flies somewhat upward, like it was shot at an angle. It's mostly just a novelty.
