When I saw the vote button on my own project I wondered why I would vote for myself. Haha. I think it should be grayed out for you when you view your own entry. Like, say you go to edit a picture or something after you enter. The vote button could be available to everyone but the creator. I'm always afraid I will accidentally click on the vote button on my own project. Maybe I am just worrying too much. LOL But it is a good idea though.
I hope I didn't accidentally break any rules by entering a contest after winning one earlier this year. O.o I read the FAQ and didn't see anything about that, but I was just wondering. Thanks. :)
I haven't seen that anywhere, but I thought it was against the rules to say "please vote if you like this project", so I never put that on an Instructable that I'm entering in a contest, just to be safe. I have seen a couple people put that on their entry though. Sorry if what I said was useless to you. I just wanted to put what I've personally noticed.
These are lovely! I think LED Christmas lights would work too. That way you won't have to worry about a light (or lights) burning out. :)
