About:I am an expat EHS manager (aka "the Safety Guy") that has somehow spiraled into a specialty of setting up the EHS systems on very odd projects, or fixing strange/ unusual/ challenging EHS issues on US DoD contracts. I have spent around 9 years in Afghanistan & Iraq since 2003, plus another in Kuwait. This was in addition to around 15 years on DoD or odd projects in the US... I claim the dubious status as someone that survived living ON THE ECONOMY in post war Iraq for most of 2004 (NEVER DO THIS!) and am HALF of the managers from that contract that are still alive. By mindset I am still a simple country Firefighter/ Paramedic, but it is amazing how useful that skill set has proven out in the wild lands.
Location:Kuwait, Afghanistan, the Philippines, or South Carolina mostly
